Welcome again to our site. In brief for new visitors; we are a group of women who make upcycled, recycled and other handmade jewellery in order to buy IT equipment for charities. Much of our recycled jewellery is made from broken or unsaleable jewellery which we purchase from our local Sobell House Charity Shop. Other items are recycled or upcycled including computer bits, silk, vintage buttons, beach glass, paper and even sweet wrappers!
It has been a busy year, and we are beginning to plan the next. Ideas are already coming in thick and fast ready for Artweeks. No doubt we will be putiing up new items and news throughout the process. Meanwhile, you can read more about us and our origins by clicking on the menu tab.
All the profit from sales create a fund to buy IT equipment for charities. This year (2011) we have raised over £3300 which we have put into a growing fund ready to purchase the next batch of equipment and software. This fund is managed by Ingotec, our parent social enterprise which was started to offer low-to-no-cost IT services to charities.
We try to operate ethically, and use environmentally friendly materials wherever we can. Being intrinsic hoarders, we love to re-use, recycle and generally reduce waste. This is reflected in our eco range which comprises upcycled jewellery, recycled jewellery and jewellery made from sustainable materials.
Wherever there is a choice available to us, we purchase goods manufactured in the UK or buy fair-traded goods bought in third world countries.
We hope you enjoy our site and our jewellery, thank you for supporting us.
